Creating specific and efficient searches can be easy if you
know how to enter your queries correctly into the LinkSViewer
search fields. Here are some examples of how to enter search terms into text fields and numerical fields along with the results that these terms would generate.
Text Search Fields
Although most of the search fields are numerical, you can
also search by Company Name
or Keyword, or Investor Name. All results containing the queried word(s)
will be returned, so if you search for 'red' in the Company Name field,
the results will include 'RedEnvelope,' 'Red Herring,' and 'Simply Hired'
among other companies. In this way, you can search for a company even
if you can only remember a partial name.
» Separate queries by commas to search for
multiple entries at the same time
» Enter a partial name
if you are unsure of company/investor name or spelling
For example:
| » | ![]() |
| » | ![]() |
| » | ![]() |
| » | ![]() |
Numerical Search Fields
All other search fields are numerical and require numbers. This can represent a number
of investors or companies, a dollar amount (in millions), or a year. Hyphens
can be used in these fields to specify bounded or boundless ranges, and
commas can be used in the same way as in the previous text field examples.
» Hyphens indicate a range,
and leaving an open-ended dash indicates a boundless range
» Commas are used to separate
multiple simultaneous queries within a field
For Example:
| » Returns companies founded anytime starting in 1994 and going through 2000 |
| » Returns companies with 11 or more investors |
| » Returns companies with $100 million or less in total capital raised |
![]() |
» Returns any investor that has 5 investments or less, exactly 8 investments, or 11 or more investments |
