The Information Window is a rectangular area set to the right side of the screen where information about the nodes in the network can be displayed. If you click on any node in the network, its basic information (as provided by LinkSV.com) appears in the Information Window along with a direct link to that Company/Investor/Person's detailed profile at LinkSV. In the image below you can see the map for Google and the Info Window highlighted by a pink rectangle. This is Google's network, and as the Target Node Google is automatically the initial profile displayed in the Info Window.

Depending on whether the displayed node is a Company, Investor, or Person, the Info Window will display different information. First examine the way the information is displayed for Companies and Investors. In the image below you can see an Investor's Info Window on the left (Allegis Capital), and a Company's Info Window on the right (PostApp). This is exactly what the window would look like for you if you clicked on their nodes.
Image 6.f.2 - Investor and Company Info Window Examples

At the top is the name of the node, and under the name there is a banner which contains the type of node as well. Also note that the color of the banner matches the color of the node itself, and these colors also indicate the type and status of the node. Just beneath the colored banner there are hyperlinks that say "Show Relational Map" and "Add to Map".
Show Relational Map Link
If you click on the link for "Show Relational Map" LinkSViewer will display the Relational Map for that company. This is an easy way to bypass the hassle of returning to the search page. If you are looking at a map and see a node in that map that interests you, simply click on the node and then click on this link to see that node's Relational Map.
Add to Map Link
If the node you have clicked on is not a Target Node for the current network, it will also have a second hyperlink that says "Add to Map". Clicking on this link will add that node to the current map as an additional Target Node, again bypassing the need to return to the Search Page to create the combined map from scratch. Similarly, if a map has multiple target nodes, the profiles in the Info Window for those Target Nodes will contain a link to "Remove from Map".
Node Attributes Data
Below the hyperlinks the information available for the node is listed. For Investors this includes the number of investments they have made, and the number of those investments that are still active. For Companies, this information includes various types of information including the number of investors, rounds of capital raised, total capital raised, start year, and more. Both Investors and Companies may have a short description that is displayed, but availability and quality of the description is variable.

![]() |
The Person Info Window is similar to the other examples. At the top is the name of the Person's name and then a banner that reflects their color as Board Member or Management Team. Then there are hyperlinks as described above for the other Info Windows, and then the node data. For Board Members the data includes the number of total boards served on as well as the current number of boards being served on. This is followed by a list of the companies on whose board the Person currently sits. These names are hyperlinks, and if you click on the link, LinkSViewer will show the Relational Map for that Company node.
Background Information
After the list of companies the Person's background information is listed. This can include former employers among other information. It may contain different information for different people.
Multiple Listings
Sometimes a Person exists as a Person node (as a Board Member) and also as an Investor node (as an Individual Investor). This can also occur with a Company that also exists as a Corporate Investor. In these cases, the person or company is actually represented twice in the data set. If that is the case, the Information Window will reflect that. In the Board Member example to the left, there is a second entry that begins toward the bottom of the Info Window where you see the yellow banner that says Individual Investor. In this way, if a person or company has multiple entries, you can learn about them and navigate to them very easily from the Information Window.
