The Person-Investor Map can contain all three types of Investor Nodes and both types of Person Nodes. There are two types of links that may be present. Blue Links represent links between same node types (Person to Person, or Investor to Investor) when they have affiliations with the same companies. If the link is Person to Person, then both people must have served with the company as either Board Members or Management Team Members. If the link is Investor to Investor, then both Investors must have invested into the Company.
The Gray Links connect Person Nodes to Investor Nodes when they have affiliations with common companies. In these cases the Investor must have invested into a company with which the Person served as either a Board Member or Management Team Member. The Person Filters can control whether you allow for current and/or former Person connections.
The Person-Investor Map is basically the amalgam of the Person Map and the Investor Map with the addition of a new type of link that connects People to Investors. This is a type of Derived Link because there is no way for Investors and People to be directly connected (i.e., Investors can only invest into Companies, People can only be affiliated with Companies), so these links represent that the Investor has invested into the same companies with which the Person is affiliated. The MinLink feature, which is located on the taskbar, determines how many common company affiliations two nodes must have in order to constitute a link between them. In the Person-Investor Map the MinLink feature also controls the number of necessary common company affiliations to form a Person-Person link as well as an Investor-Investor link. All of these types of links are affected by the MinLink setting.
