The Management Map is a modified Relational Map. This map examines the structure of the Management Team relationships (purple links) in the network of the target node(s). You can assemble a network around whatever types of target nodes you choose (companies, investors, and people) and then see how everything in the combined network is connected in terms of board relationships. Some green (investment) and red (board membership) links may still appear depending on the specifics of each map, but the overall network will be organized to help you focus on the management team interlock relationships.
Imagine that the Management Map is like a "preset" on your radio. This is a quick way to examine a particular slice of the network that pertains to management team interlock relationships. You can still manipulate and apply filters to this map, but some of the work is already done for you. Using this map in conjunction with other map types (like Investment, People, and Board) can help you quickly get an overview of different slices of the networks you create.
The Management Map and the Board Map are the most specific of the "preset" maps. In other words, these maps have removed more information from the default Relational Map view than in the Investment and People Maps. Consequently, the Board and Management Maps can often support the inclusion of extra information from the default view, such as including the inactive companies and the former personnel relationships. Setting the MinLink to "1" or "1,2" can create interesting results as well.
