This is the Company Map for the combined network of the Investor Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and the Company Sapias. Because only the Company Nodes are displayed in this type of map, we can see the Target Node for Sapias which is larger in size than the other nodes and has a thicker border, but we cannot see the node for Hummer Winblad because it is an Investor. However, the influence of Hummer Winblad's network is evident.

The Sapias network is the bottom part of this map, including the small cluster of companies that sits just above the Sapias node. The large loop of companies including Pagoo, Hyperion, Netopia, and Wirestone are part of Hummer Winblad's network, as well as the top section including Baynote, Skire, and all of the companies above them.

The individual networks for Hummer Winblad and Sapias connect to each other in a way that looks very interesting. Akimbi Systems and Knowmadic are two companies that play key roles in connecting the two networks. By examining the Relational Map we can determine why. It turns out that Michael Kertzman works for Hummer Winblad and is a board member on both Sapias and Akimbi Systems. Stuart Bagshaw is the former CEO for Knowmadic, and the current President/CEO of Sapias. These two people's relationships form the linkages between the two networks, and are responsible for the interesting appearance of this map.
